Winter Youth RetreatSunday, January 5, 2025 We have an opportunity to take our youth group to a winter retreat at Camp Nakamun, located between Westlock and Edmonton, about two hours from Slave Lake. The retreat will take place from January 3 to 5. It starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, and ends at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5.
The cost is $105 per youth. It includes accommodations for 2 nights, five meals, two snacks, and access to the entire program. There will be winter activities, chapel sessions, worship, games, great food and some free time. The speaker is Josh Ginn from St. Albert Alliance Church.
We need to register as a group for this retreat and know how many youth are interested and able to go. Please let me know by November 17. We don't need payment for the event yet; we just need to register our group. (The Church is willing to help subsidize the cost for any youth who may need it.)
Youth are welcome to bring friends along to this winter retreat as well. So spread the word!

Friday Challenge & Reminder- Friday, November 15, 2024 This past Sunday, we were reminded that the way we live out our faith is under a constant spotlight. Our challenge is not only to speak of God's love but to demonstrate it through our actions, embodying kindness, compassion, and the heart of Christ. The story of the middle-aged woman, who tried to reshape her outward image, serves as a poignant reminder that our true value isn't found in appearance or possessions, but in the depth of our character and the love we show. The world often measures success by status or beauty, but God calls us to a different standard. Friday's Challenge: Take a moment to reflect on whether the people around you see Christ in you. Are your actions and words pointing them to the hope and compassion of Jesus? "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 5:16 Live with intentional kindness and compassion. Not for recognition but to reflect the One who saved us by His mercy. If you missed last week's service and message, click the link below to watch.
