Church Potluck
Cozy CasserolesDecember 1, 2024 This Potluck will feature your favourite casseroles. It can be a meat dish, a one dish meal or a vegetable dish. It would be extremely helpful if you let me know if you are using a crock pot or if you need the oven to finish cooking or to keep your dish warm. This way I’ll know how many extension cords we need. As well as to know the order of putting items in the oven. The church will provide buns. Desserts by Margaret Email meals@slavelakealliance.com to contact Jean Come enjoy great food and fellowship! Everyone's welcome! For more infomation visit: http://slavelakealliance.com/events/church-potluck--166/2024-12-01

Winter Youth RetreatSunday, January 5, 2025 We have an opportunity to take our youth group to a winter retreat at Camp Nakamun, located between Westlock and Edmonton, about two hours from Slave Lake. The retreat will take place from January 3 to 5. It starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, and ends at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5.
The cost is $105 per youth. It includes accommodations for 2 nights, five meals, two snacks, and access to the entire program. There will be winter activities, chapel sessions, worship, games, great food and some free time. The speaker is Josh Ginn from St. Albert Alliance Church.
We need to register as a group for this retreat and know how many youth are interested and able to go. Please let me know by November 17. We don't need payment for the event yet; we just need to register our group. (The Church is willing to help subsidize the cost for any youth who may need it.)
Youth are welcome to bring friends along to this winter retreat as well. So spread the word!

Put OffReminder and Challenge for Friday, November 22, 2024 Last Sunday, Pastor Heath encouraged us with a powerful message from Colossians about putting off the old and putting on the new. He reminded us that, just like we wouldn’t put dirty clothes back on after a shower, we shouldn’t go back to old sinful habits once we’ve been made new in Christ. Here’s your challenge: Each time you change clothes this week, let it be a visual reminder of this truth. As you take off the old and put on the new, reflect on how God has washed you clean through Christ. What old "clothes" do you need to leave behind today? Let’s keep our focus on what is above, not on the distractions of this world. As we prepare for Sunday, take time to seek God’s guidance on what you need to put off in your life and look forward to discovering what He wants us to put on next week. You are made new in Christ—live it out! For more infomation visit:
